The Cambridge University Surgical Society is proud to present a brand new event: the Aspiring Surgeons Conference (ASC)! While our annual Basic Surgical Skills conference is designed to pique your interest in surgery as a whole, ASC is for those who are pretty set on becoming a surgeon and want to learn more about each surgical specialty. It is also an opportunity to present any surgical research you may have done during SSCs and SSPs!
Details of the day:
Morning = 15min talks from each of the 10 RCS surgical specialties, plus two extra, all running in parallel. Choose the five specialties that you would like to learn more about and hear from a surgeon in that field what they think are the pros and cons of their specialty!
Late morning + lunchtime = student oral and poster presentations, with prizes at the end of the day
Afternoon = three specialty-specific hands-on workshops (TBC, but they will all be different from the workshops run in BSS!)
