Take time out from the frantic pace of modern life, and try something easier than you might imagine. Origami is an accessible skill, ideal at calming the mind and creating beauty.
Join me, Meg, as I lead you through all the steps to make your very own string of folded fairy lights in the paper of your choice.
This 2 hour workshop, will be warmly hosted by Relevant Cafe at 260 Mill Road. They have kindly given us the use of their comfy sofas in their downstairs record shop, and are offering 20% off all pizza + drink orders, including beer and wine.
I will patiently guide you through all the necessary basics, with knowledge, passion and humour up my sleeve, leaving you with
• your own 2metre string of 20 lights
• an instruction guide
• a goodie bag
• feelings of Zen like tranquility
• a new love of the art of origami
We can only offer the workshop to 8 people, so advanced booking is essential mix and will be given on a first come first served basis.
On receiving your booking form and payment of £35, you will be invited to choose from a selection of different papers, so everything will be ready for you on the day.
The only hard bit will be deciding whether you give them as a Xmas gift or keep them for yourself!
