At last a chance to sample and explore the discipline of Authentic Movement in a small group setting in Cambridge.
Authentic Movement, as developed by Janet Adler, seeks to cultivate a safe space in which personal material from the unconscious can be embodied, felt, seen and integrated. In this discipline we seek to develop an 'inner witness’ as a place of clear seeing that is compassionate and non-judgmental. The practice provides a container for personal processing and a also a set of skills that can underpin the clarity of all our relationships and encounters in the world. You can find out a bit more by checking out the Authentic Movement page on my website.https://beverleynolan.com/authentic-movement
In this course you will sample the practice in its various forms, work in dyads and in small groups, develop precision in compasstionate witnessing, speaking and listening. Explore other ways of processing experiences, for example through writing and drawing (no special skills required!).
This group is open to 8 participants.
It is open to newcomers to the form or those who are wanting to refresh their practice.
The venue is a quiet spot in Cambridge, where there is room for parking or bicycles.
